Make Sure Your Jeep Computer Is Working

If you own a Jeep, then there is no doubt that you are geared for life in the Great Outdoors. Since 1946 the brand has been associated with adventure, freedom and capability. Jeeps today have come a long way from the first Willys Jeep and are completely computerized. The Jeep computer is similar to the other car computers and makes driving this iconic brand not just a thrilling experience but a comfortable one.

After World War II, when Willys-Overland Motors introduced a strange looking steel bodied station wagon, which was built to carry passengers, history was made. The Jeep, as it became known, was believed to be a General Purpose vehicle used by the Army. It went on to attain iconic status as a very popular sports utility vehicle (SUV). This vehicle was also the first one for the mass market. The steel chassis made it easy to produce on a large scale. The steel body made maintenance simpler and was safer than the contemporary wood bodied station wagons which were on the road.

As lifestyles changed the world over, the Jeep's popularity as a SUV soared. The Jeep 4x4 came to be a symbol of those who dared to do things they wanted to. Jeep designs kept evolving and with the advent of computers in cars, came luxuries such as the electronically fuel injected engines and other sensors which make driving easy. The Jeep computer controls many of the crucial functions, such as automatic transmission, GPS Navigation and anti lock brakes among others.

5 Tips To Clean Car Interiors

Cleaning and maintaining the car can be a tough task. Interiors of the car are prone to dust and stain; thanks to kids, spill over foods and pets. Sometimes vacuuming the interiors is just not enough. Here, are few easy tips that will help in keeping the interiors clean.

Vacuum: Remove the car mats and seat covers and then vacuum the interiors. Use a soft nozzle or round brush to elicit dust from hard to reach areas. Pay close attention to the pedals while vacuuming as they accumulate maximum dust. Use a soft bristled brush to vacuum the dashboard, gear box and the doors.

Dashboard cleaning: One may use a soft cloth, paint brush or baby wipes to clean the dashboard. Avoid scrubbing the dashboard as it may cause scratches. Do not polish or wax the dashboard as it will reflect light on sunny days and interfere with the driving.

Carpets: Pull the carpets out and dust them thoroughly. One may use a comb or hard brush to open up the fibers. Vacuum the carpet at least twice. Do not sponge the carpet before vacuuming as it will settle the dust deeper into the carpet, making it difficult to clean. Mix a half cup detergent with one cup white vinegar in a gallon of water. Spread the mixture over the carpet and let it dry for an hour. Scrub the carpet thoroughly and rinse it with cold*water. This will restore the vibrant colors to the carpet and also eliminate any general stains.

Only True Mustang Wheels Complete the Look of a Muscle Car

It doesn't really matter what kind of muscle car you have, throwing a set of Mustang wheels on that bad boy will most definitely boost the eye popping affect you will get when you cruise through your town. Nothing looks better than a car sitting on a set of custom GT rims with a set of high performance, low profile tires shined to perfection.

One of the best looking cars to ever grace the streets of any town in the good'ole U.S.A., was, is, and probably always will be a 2000-2004 Mustang GT, with factory wheels. Never put anything else on a Mustang. Putting a GT on 24" rims takes absolutely all the cars' street cred' and throws it out the window. Not to mention the fact you may as well take the deep growling v-8 out and install yourself a 4 cylinder, because there is no use having a GT if it cannot be driven hard, and you can't drive a mustang hard if it has those huge, cumbersome wheels that prevent hard cornering and have no handling what-so-ever.

There are several different types of Mustang wheels that will improve the look of your ride. The Saleen Mustangs have wheels that always stand out above the rest. Of course they should stand out, because the Saleen Mustang itself is a pretty awesome ride.
